Rescues
A lot of animals that are searching for food, often slide and fall into rivers or cliffs. Some are even thown because their owners do not want them anymore. "Animales S.O.S." in spite of being only volunteers, we have trained these to perform rescues from inaccessible places with climbing gear.
Case 1:
June 1996. This animal is This place is the beginning part of the river vault for the Rio Choqueyapu, in this place alone we have rescued twelve dogs.
The scraps that accumulate there attract stray dogs who risk their lives for a little food. We do not know how many have fallen in and been carried away by the river current, but all those that we have aided have been successful rescues.
"Animales S.O.S." has sent a letter to the Municipal Government so they can take some preventive measures like building a brick wall around the hole. We have not recieved an answer, and in the mean time we have put a wire fence around the hole even though this is not the most effective measure.
