One time or another we who love animals have had to pass sad moments, in this country it is mandatory for students to practice on live animals. These school which do not have any pedagogy but to teach indifference and lack of compassion toward live creatures. Since we started this work we have received hundreds of complaints from worried parents for this type of practices which are performed in public and private schools.
On July of 2000 in a public school in the city of Oruro, a female student from a low income family was forced to take her puppy for her dissection class, Because she was unable to afford a rabbit. Because of this incident, this young girl is traumatized for life.


After obstructing many of these practices with the help of the parents we decided to make this point of view made to the board of education through a letter sent on September 18, 2000. On October 30, 2000 a law was passed (410/00) which prohibits these kind of activities on live animals in private and public schools in Bolivia.
