HE TORTURED ANIMALS AND ABUSED THEM SEXUALLY DURING MORE THAN TEN YEARS

The first of August of 1998 thanks to the calls of neighbors who heard screams and constant presence of cadavers, we came to verify the case and we saw the presence of many animals closed within a 2x3 room. The stories of the neighbors were horrible. The man who lived in this room was Javier Vacaflor Gutierrez, a man with notorious mental problems, he had taken possession of this room for more than ten years after his mother died mysteriously.
After four days, on August 5, we went with the police and the municipal kennel. The things we found inside that house could confirm that this had great conduct and mind problems. Inside the room there where no kitchen utensils, there wasn't a thing in which he could prepare, make, or serve food. The floor had a height of 10 cm. from the ground of accumulated feces from years ago. The smell was unbearable. Fifteen animals filled with terror and fear were hiding under a kind of bed with dirty cloths underneath it and without covers over it. One of the animals died the moment we took them out, none of us could have suspected the crimes we discovered later on.

All these animals were transferred provisionally to the Municipal Kennel because we didn't have physical space where we could have them. This is when we realized that many of them could not walk, they coulden't manage their rear legs, they had constant cramps and many of the dogs feces in the grounds kennel had blood from recent injuries. We solicited the serices of a veterinary doctor so that he could evaluate the state of the animals, this work was very difficult. The dogs were filled with terror, they had recent injuries of short piercing weapons, one of the dogs had an extensive burn in the rear paw, many of them had anuses and vaginas completely broken.

Javier Vacaflor not only abused them sexually, he mutilated their bodies without compassion, he maintained them to the border of starvation, he burned them, he hit them with no mercy, in some cases until death. This example of extreme violence, places no doubts of a criminal mind. We stopped the physical and psychological terror of these fourteen poor animals the day we rescued them on August 5 by Animales S.O.S., the PAC and the Municipal Kennel. One of them didn't have the luck of leaving from that room with life. Apparently his heart broke because of the nervous tension he was subjected to. These animals don't have voices to tell us what really happened to them. They are not able to tell us what they need to help them forget and get on with their lives.

These animals request justice. This man never will never be brought to justice for the crime he committed against those innocents creatures. Only a law will prevend that these atrocities might be repeat again, a Law that makes us take conscience of that these animals are not objects, that feel as much pain, hunger, anguish and love as we do.
