IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE THEY DON'T GO BACK HOME, THEY THROW THEM IN RIVERS

Real figures of the number of animals that are abandoned in the streets of La Paz don't exist.
They are taken as far as possible away from their homes so that they can never return again. Some owners make sure of this by throwing them over deep edges, to storms and to rivers. Many animals in search of food slide and fall to rivers, some will die slowly of hunger and of cold, without the help of someone, dragged by the current within the rivers that run under our city. This is only one of the animals ends.

Abandoned animals have cruel and traumatic lives.
